Happy Hanukkah & turkey day! Win a handmade ceramic coffee mug by Pottery Studio Karematsu!

Gobble gobble! Happy Hanukkah + Thanksgiving, everyone!

If you're taking a break from all the parties, check out today's pre-show giveaway!

Ken Nagakui of Pottery Studio Karematsu built his first wood kiln in 2005 and has pursued his love of ceramics ever since. Originally from Japan, Nagakui was a long-time painter before he developed his self-taught pottery style. Now you have the chance to win one his

Nagakui explained his style as a blend of creativity inspired by his unique history:  "Karematsu came from a small place adjacent to the land where I was born. It's not even official village name, just a kind of family nickname of a sunnyhill side. (Literal meaning of Karematsu is weathered or dried pine.) One of my childhood memory of the place is occasional finding of fragments of prehistoric earthenwares. They are archeologically called Jomon (pronounce joe-mon or joh-mon) because cord pressed marks on the surfaces. I found pieces on the hillside that could be between 2,000 to 5,000 years old."

Today only, you could win this ceramic coffee mug handmade by Nagakui. Hand-built and wood-fired using local clay with a glaze that also contains local clay, this mug measures 4" diameter and 3.5" height. Click here for your chance to win!
